Kim and Ryan, also know as "The Super Shrinking Smiths," have been together since 2003. As they ate their way through the first decade of married life, they gained over 200 pounds. In 2014, Ryan started a weight loss journey, followed by Kim in 2015. In 2017, they found intermittent fasting and it changed everything. Their first co-authored book "Unbelievable Freedom: How We Transformed Our Health and Happiness with Intermittent Fasting" was published in October 2018.
Kim has a passion for understanding how people construct a unique niche in the world. She holds a Master's degree in Human Development, and works developing mentoring materials to support people undergoing transformation. In addition, she is a Maine real estate agent helping others enjoy their lives through finding the ideal home.
Ryan has been a teacher of high school English for over two decades. He is committed to bringing a love of reading and writing to his students. He enjoys hiking, yoga, cooking and sharing his intermittent fasting lifestyle with others.
